Born and raised in the small town of Tulia in the Texas panhandle, Vicki gained her Bachelors of Science from Abilene Christian University in 1981. In 1985, she received an MA in in Physical Education/Counseling from Texas State University. Nearing retirement from teaching, Vicki returned to Texas State to pursue her Master's in Professional Counseling, a program that is CACREP certified (the highest certification that can be earned by a counseling program).
Vicki spent more than 25 years teaching and coaching from grades 5 to 12. She connects well with adolescents, but is also able to form strong relationships with the adults that she works with. She believes in the strength of this counseling relationship, and to helping clients successfully navigate their lives.
"When I met Vicki 3 years ago, I was impressed with her strength of character and nurturing love for others. I can't imagine a better guide in self-reflection, overcoming struggle, and discovering hope."
